Hello
My name is Trudy Williams and I'm the Content Coordinator for Mariposa Community Radio as well as the host of Inquiring Minds and along with my husband, Kevin Bowman, the host of Slainte!, a Celtic Music program.
My Story
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hi. Moved to California in 1977. Worked at McClellan AFB until 1991 when I met my husband, Kevin Bowman. In 1991 went back to college to get an English degree. Worked at American River College in the Writing Across the Curriculum program until moving to Mariposa Ca in 2000 with my husband. Worked as the Managing Editor of the then Mariposa Tribune newspaper.
Have had a love of Celtic music since my early teens. Grew up with traditional Hawaiian musicians and performers and discovered Hawaiian/Celtic fusion. When we started the radio station, it was a natural progression to produce a Celtic music show so Slainte! was born. I hope you tune in and enjoy traditional and contemporary Celtic music played in English and Gaelic as much as we do.
I also host the local interview show Inquiring Minds along with Jeanne-Ann Pine. A local topics of interest show.
